Privacy policy. ready-made wrap dresses.

This page describes what happens to data on awei.lv. It describes what the code actually does, not what would be convenient to promise.

WHO WE ARE. AWEI is Ieva's dress workshop in Latvia. Contact us on WhatsApp (+371 22028477) or Instagram (@aweigallery) — use the same route to ask for your data, its correction or its deletion.

ORDERS. When you buy, we store your name, e-mail, phone number and delivery address. It stays on our server, and it is the only way to send you the dress. The order message goes to Ieva on Telegram, because she is the one who packs and ships it.

ORDER REGISTER. Order data — the dress, the amount, the buyer's name, e-mail, phone number and delivery address — also goes into Ieva's private Google Drive spreadsheet, which she runs the shop from. It is not public, and it holds neither card data nor try-on images.

PAYMENT. The card is handled by Stripe on their own page. We never see or store the card number; all we get back from Stripe is the confirmation that it was paid.

TRYING A DRESS ON YOUR OWN PHOTO. We process the uploaded photo in server memory and re-encode it to remove EXIF data, including GPS coordinates. We do not save the input photo to our disk; we send it with the dress image to FASHN to generate the try-on. Only the generated result is saved on our server under a random filename. It has a 4-hour retention period, after which the cleanup process deletes it. This period applies to our server's copy of the result, not to FASHN's retention policy.

TEXT TRANSLATION. Dress descriptions are translated by Google Gemini. Only the dress text goes there, never your data.

IP ADDRESS. It serves one purpose: to guess the country so we can show the right delivery price. The guess happens on our server against a local table, and your IP address never leaves it. IP addresses appear in server logs as on any server; the logs rotate and old ones are overwritten.

COOKIES. The site runs Google Analytics and Google Ads. They set their own cookies and let us see how many people came and from where. If you do not want them, disable them in your browser or use a private window.

HOW YOU USE THE SITE. We record which dress you were at and for how long, how fast you flipped through the photos and where you left - so we know what is awkward on the site. It reaches our server log as a dress number and seconds: without your name and without anything you typed into a field. Logs rotate, old ones are overwritten.

DRESSES THAT SUIT YOU (only with your permission). If you switch on "Show me dresses that suit me" in the footer, we start storing one row of numbers on our server about which dresses you like — length, sleeves, fabric, colour. It holds no name, no email and no IP address: only numbers and a random id your browser makes up. We use it to put the dresses in an order that suits you better. Switch it off and the id disappears from your browser; if you also want it deleted on the server, write to us. A profile nobody uses for 90 days deletes itself. Without this switch none of it happens and no profile is created.

HOW LONG. Order data is kept for the time needed for bookkeeping and order fulfilment. The generated try-on result has a 4-hour retention period on our server and is removed by the cleanup process. This period does not describe external providers' retention. Buyer data is not sent to the dress-text translation cache.

YOUR RIGHTS. You have the right to know what data of yours we hold, to correct it and to ask for its deletion. Write to us on WhatsApp and we will do it.

The site also runs the Meta (Facebook) pixel, which sets its own cookies and reports visits to Meta.

News feed personalisation (only with your consent): this browser keeps a list of the articles you viewed and how long you read them, and sends it to the site only to order article suggestions. With your consent, an anonymous reading profile (no name, IP address or cookie) is stored for 90 days to suggest articles to readers with similar interests. Without consent it is not stored. Anonymous statistics (which articles are read together, how often suggestions are opened) are kept without any link to you. You can withdraw consent at any time in Cookie settings; your profile is then deleted. Library (only with your consent, given on a library page): while you read books, this browser measures how long and how far you read each page and whether you select text (not the text itself), and sends the site book and page identifiers and these measurements with a random session identifier. They are used so that “right” leads to thoughts that interested you, and to compare two variants of this navigation. Detailed measurements are kept for 7 days, anonymous records for 90 days. Withdrawing consent deletes the session data. Library reading paths (only with the separate consent “Library personalisation”, given on a library page): while you read, the browser sends book and page identifiers, time, the share of text seen, the number of screens, actions (selection, copying, “like”, the outcome of sharing, answers to review cards and crossroads) and the shape and pace of reading gestures - averaged touch features and an irreversible 16-number gesture profile per page (no finger path, no text, no IP; the gesture vectors themselves stay in this browser only, at most 3000 gestures and 90 days) with a random path identifier that changes after a 30-minute break (on return, the previous path is linked to the new one). They are used to suggest what to read next and to let suggestions learn from all readers' anonymised paths. Steps with a path identifier are kept for 30 days, anonymised paths without it for 180 days; a continuation is suggested only if at least 5 different paths lead to it. Learning routes: for these the browser sends the route number, the action (shown, started, step, completed, left) and the step number together with the path identifier, like other steps (kept for 30 days); the route progress itself (which steps you have seen) is kept in this browser only; routes are built from anonymised paths (each from at least 5 different paths) and published only after a human check. The library's books are spiritual texts and reading may reveal beliefs, so the consent is separate and can be withdrawn at any time: the steps of the current path and of all earlier paths linked to it are then deleted; the “Erase progress” button in the reading menu also erases everything stored in this browser.

In short: what goes where

• To our server — the order data (name, e-mail, phone, address) and anonymous usage logs.
• To Stripe — the card details, which we never see or store.
• To Ieva on Telegram and in a Drive table — the order data, so the dress can be packed and shipped.
• To FASHN — the input photo and dress image for the try-on, without the buyer's name or order. The 4-hour retention period on our server applies only to the generated result; it is not a promise about FASHN's retention.
• To Google Gemini — dress texts for translation, never your data.
