Privacy policy

This page describes what happens to data on awei.lv. It describes what the code actually does, not what would be convenient to promise.

WHO WE ARE. AWEI is Ieva's dress workshop in Latvia. Contact us on WhatsApp (+371 22028477) or Instagram (@aweigallery) — use the same route to ask for your data, its correction or its deletion.

ORDERS. When you buy, we store your name, e-mail, phone number and delivery address. It stays on our server, and it is the only way to send you the dress. The order message goes to Ieva on Telegram, because she is the one who packs and ships it.

ORDER REGISTER. Order data — the dress, the amount, the buyer's name, e-mail, phone number and delivery address — also goes into Ieva's private Google Drive spreadsheet, which she runs the shop from. It is not public, and it holds neither card data nor try-on images.

PAYMENT. The card is handled by Stripe on their own page. We never see or store the card number; all we get back from Stripe is the confirmation that it was paid.

TRYING A DRESS ON YOUR OWN PHOTO. If you try a dress on your own photograph, it NEVER reaches our disk. The image is re-encoded in memory — which also strips EXIF data, including GPS coordinates — and goes to FASHN, which produces the try-on. The result sits on disk under a random name and is deleted after four hours.

TEXT TRANSLATION. Dress descriptions are translated by Google Gemini. Only the dress text goes there, never your data.

IP ADDRESS. It serves one purpose: to guess the country so we can show the right delivery price. The guess happens on our server against a local table, and your IP address never leaves it. IP addresses appear in server logs as on any server; the logs rotate and old ones are overwritten.

COOKIES. The site runs Google Analytics and Google Ads. They set their own cookies and let us see how many people came and from where. If you do not want them, disable them in your browser or use a private window.

HOW YOU USE THE SITE. We record which dress you were at and for how long, how fast you flipped through the photos and where you left - so we know what is awkward on the site. It reaches our server log as a dress number and seconds: without your name and without anything you typed into a field. Logs rotate, old ones are overwritten.

DRESSES THAT SUIT YOU (only with your permission). If you switch on "Show me dresses that suit me" in the footer, we start storing one row of numbers on our server about which dresses you like — length, sleeves, fabric, colour. It holds no name, no email and no IP address: only numbers and a random id your browser makes up. We use it to put the dresses in an order that suits you better. Switch it off and the id disappears from your browser; if you also want it deleted on the server, write to us. A profile nobody uses for 90 days deletes itself. Without this switch none of it happens and no profile is created.

HOW LONG. Orders are kept as long as bookkeeping requires. Try-on images — four hours. The translation and image caches contain no personal data.

YOUR RIGHTS. You have the right to know what data of yours we hold, to correct it and to ask for its deletion. Write to us on WhatsApp and we will do it.
